Followed by lunch.
We come to the end of our keeping of Christmas and Epiphany. Joseph and Mary bring Jesus into the Temple to present him to the Lord. The righteous and devout Simeon proclaims Jesus to be, ‘a light for revelation to the gentiles and glory for God’s people Israel’.
The Eucharist ends with a candlelit procession to the font as we turn from celebrating the birth of Jesus to the time of marking his Passion and death.
Please note there will be no 11 a.m. Eucharist on Wednesday 6th February because of the Diocesan Clergy Conference.
