The Epiphany, or manifestation, of Jesus to the world is associated with three Biblical events. The visit of the wise men to the child Jesus bring precious gifts; the Baptism of Jesus in the Jordan and the transformation of water into wine at the Wedding at Cana in Galilee.
The day of the Epiphany now focuses on the visit of the wise men, magi, who are foreigners from ‘the East’. They represent the nations of the world worshipping Jesus.
