On Sunday 3rd May Fr. Paul plans to stream the Eucharist from St. John's live to our Facebook page at 11 a.m.

This will only be possible if the various technical hurdles can be overcome.

Almighty God,
whose Son Jesus Christ is the resurrection and the life:
Raise us, who trust in him,
from the death of sin to the life of righteousness,
that we may seek those things which are above,
where he reigns with you and the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.

Sunday 12th April - Easter Day

Christ our passover has been sacrificed for us:
so let us celebrate the feast,
not with the old leaven of corruption and wickedness:
but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Christ once raised from the dead dies no more:
death has no more dominion over him.
In dying he died to sin once for all:
in living he lives to God.
See yourselves therefore as dead to sin:
and alive to God in Jesus Christ our Lord.

Christ has been raised from the dead:
the first fruits of those who sleep.
For as by man came death:
by man has come also the resurrection of the dead;
for as in Adam all die:
even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

5th April - Palm Sunday

Although there is no public worship at St. John’s, Fr. Paul and his wife celebrated the Palm Sunday Eucharist at home. Palms, signs of Jesus’ victory, were blessed at the Eucharist and will be left in St. John’s ready for everyone to collect when we return from our enforced absence.
Picture
God our Saviour,
whose Son Jesus Christ entered Jerusalem as Messiah to suffer
     and to die;
let these palms be for us signs of his victory
and grant that we who bear them in his name
may ever hail him as our King,
and follow him in the way that leads to eternal life;
who is alive and reigns with you,
in the unity of the Holy Spirit,
one God, now and for ever.
Amen.
