The Lord brought Abraham outside and said, ‘Look toward heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them.’ Then he said to him, ‘So shall your descendants be.’ And he believed the LORD; and the LORD reckoned it to him as righteousness.’
Genesis 15. 5,6

Preacher: The Revd. Robert Lawson

‘If you have been raised with Christ, seek the things that are above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth, for you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God. When Christ who is your life is revealed, then you also will be revealed with him in glory.’ Colossians 3.1 – 4

Please note that daily prayer will not be said regularly this week and there will be no Eucharist on Wednesday 7th.

Lord's Prayer, Albani Psalter, from Art in the Christian Tradition, a project of the Vanderbilt Divinity Library, Nashville, TN.
Sung Eucharist 11 a.m.
Preacher: The Revd. Robert Lawson

Jesus was praying in a certain place, and after he had finished, one of his disciples said to him, ‘Lord, teach us to pray, as John taught his disciples.’
He said to them, ‘When you pray, say:
Father, hallowed be your name.
Your kingdom come.
Give us each day our daily bread.
And forgive us our sins,
for we ourselves forgive everyone indebted to us.

And do not bring us to the time of trial.’ Luke 11.1 – 4

Please note that daily prayer will not be said regularly this week and there will be no Eucharist on Wednesday 31st.

... Wanting to justify himself, the lawyer asked Jesus, ‘And who is my neighbour?’ Jesus replied, ‘A man was going down from Jerusalem to Jericho... ’

The Parable of the ‘Good Samaritan’ is one of the most well known. Many of us could recite it from memory. That can rob it of its impact: even the most unlikely, despised and unwanted person is our neighbour. Everyone is created in the image of God.
